Well today I finished with a profit :) but I took a slight loss on a stupid trade I executed earlier in the day. At about 1:43pm (NY Time) I decided to sell the DOW.20AUG.-75 short @ 7.0 then I saw DOW.20AUG.+125 was available to short at a great price, I felt that the Dow was going to trade in a narrow range (which it did), so I shorted 2 DOW.20AUG.+125 @ 9.5. Then I noticed my analysis was slightly off, so I decided to buy back the DOW.20AUG.+125 @ 15 (ugh big mistake!). That gave me an early loss, but I still was confident. Throughout the day I shorted the DOW.20AUG.-75 at an average price of 6.5. The DOW closed up 68 points which would have made the DOW.20AUG.+125 profitable :( But I still finished the day with a profit of $.72, but I did not hit my target for the day.
